It has been noticeable for several years that Southern iron makers, those who have passed through bad times as well as good, are constant ly enlarging their operations by the costruction of new furnaces. The fj.ison for this srowth is illustra ted by the Mississippi Mills, of Wessoo.now running 11,000 spin dies and 250 looms on cotton and 250 looms and 13 sets cards on woolen goods, which have sold their entire production inr si wields an influence that few ap preciate. Hence the importance, nay, the necessity, of every family being provided vith a newspaper that not only entertains but in structs one that inculcates pure morality and disseminates useful information.
